Key Ministry Evaluation Criteria

Statutory criteria evaluated by the Ministry of Labor:

  Foreign Company Shareholders & Managing Partners:

  The foreign partner must own at least 20% of shares with qualifying paid-in capital. During the first 6 months of incorporation, the 5:1 employee ratio is waived for founders.

  The 5:1 Turkish Citizen Ratio:

  For every foreign employee hired, the workplace must employ at least five (5) Turkish citizens on full-time SGK payroll.

  Mandatory Minimum Salary Multipliers:

  The Ministry mandates specific gross salary multiples above statutory minimum wage based on the position (e.g. 6.5x for senior executives, 4x for engineers).

  Extension & Family Residence Applications:

  Initial work permits are granted for 1 year, followed by 2-year and 3-year extensions. We handle family residence permits for dependents.
